We continue #SciFiJuly presents #DystopianSummer with 1988’s IN THE AFTERMATH, a film (mostly) sprung from New World Video unless you lived in Australia! Directed by Carl Colpaert, the then Head of post-production for New World (and who would go on to direct and produce a variety of indie films), IN THE AFTERMATH is the truly the work of two directors, with Mamoru Oshii’s 1985 anime film ANGEL’S EGG also sharing the screen with Colpaert’s live-action footage of the apocalypse.
